The Bristle
Pine Tree has adapted to some of the harshest living conditions
on the planet - extremely dry, ferociously fast winds, high elevations
with limited oxygen supply, very little rainfall, and very alkaline,
sandy soil. To us, the harsh living conditions represent the
market place. The market is ever changing with dry spells, ferociously
fast competition: you get the point.
With the Bristle
Cone Tree we used only the “Brist” part and dropped
the “le” part. We did this because the name “bristle”
doesn’t give the proper connotation to our company, as we
would have liked. After all, our company is about caring and helping
others.
The second part
of the first word in our name is stone. This stands for stability.
Some of our favorite definitions of stone are:
Rock or a piece of rock shaped or finished for a particular purpose,
especially:
a.
A piece of rock that is used in construction - a keystone. We
want to be your keystone.
A gem.
Well, we think so.
You can see
that what we did with “stone” is drop the “e”.
We then took the two slightly modified words and put them together
to create Briston. From here, the rest of the name was much simpler.
The word Capital
in our name comes from the definitions we liked as follows:
a.
Wealth in the form of money or property used or accumulated in a
business by a person, partnership, or corporation. b.
Material wealth used or available for use in the production of more
wealth. c. Human resources considered in terms
of their contributions to an economy.
First and
foremost, principal: a decision of capital importance.
First-rate,
excellent: a capital idea.
The last word
being Mortgage is used to clearly state what our company does. A
simple definition of the word mortgage that we like is:
A temporary, conditional pledge of property to a creditor.
Thank
you for your interest in our company and its origins.
